Exemplary change agents
Successful approach to changing ICT organizations
Many ICT managers want to know more about the how of change instead of the what. They then fall back on a systematic approach, which is often at odds with the dynamics of the ICT market, where speed and pragmatism are central.
Research by the authors has shown that successful ICT managers are above all versatile change agents. They can not only give direction to change based on a clear vision, but during the process they offer employees space for their own development and initiatives. They do this quite intuitively and based on their own experience and skills, without their approach being based on plans and strategies from change management.
This book unites two worlds: ICT and change management. It describes the unique characteristics of the ICT world and provides the ICT manager with a change compass, a practically applicable instrument for determining his course. In addition, it contains a number of unorthodox interventions for ICT environments with which the ICT manager can realize the chosen course in practice.
For every IT manager who is in the middle of change processes and is looking for guidance on how to achieve a more successful approach, this book will be a welcome support.
