Description:
In Finland, a young Icelandic woman is waiting for her lover. They want to return to Iceland by ship, to escape the war that has now spread to the northern countries. However, her fiancé does not show up.
A few years later, World War II has reached its peak and Iceland is occupied by Allied troops. In Reykjavík, the population is in turmoil, because a body has washed up on the beach of Nauthólsvík. Not much later, a boy is attacked behind an army bar and a woman with many contacts among soldiers is reported missing. Thorson and Flóvent follow contradictory and dangerous trails to a gruesome denouement.
