Description:
When the main character becomes the father of a spastic child, he initially wants to flee, but eventually he takes responsibility. ?These children are born twice, the first time, still unprepared for the world? one of the doctors tells him. The ?second birth? can only happen with the help of the love and intelligence of others. The father is initially his son's teacher, but gradually the roles are reversed and he begins to learn more and more from his son. Both father and son become aware of their own limits and learn to accept them ? which turns out to be something completely different than resigning themselves to them. The disabled son leads the ?normal ones? in confronting the limits that every person must eventually encounter. And after countless clashes with the outside world, with people and institutions, but especially with himself, the father will also feel reborn.
