Description:
Arnoud van Adrichem's poetry is not easily known. That does not mean that it is reserved. On the contrary, Van Adrichem's poems meddle in everything. Now they quote a predecessor, then again they whistle a tune from the hit parade - they slur, tease and boast about their (pseudo) knowledge of apples, pears, teenagers and of course fish. In the meantime, the reader witnesses the battle between the loner and the multi-generational in which no means are left unturned. It is a battle in which the reader ultimately, almost unnoticed, threatens to become involved. Van Adrichem's poetry debut Fish offers the necessary fins to which one can cling - both under and above water.
