Description:
Elisabeth Holdsworth was born shortly after the Second World War in Middelburg. She is the last living descendant of one of the most important Dutch families, the De Rijke-Nassau family. Her aunt worked as a lady-in-waiting for Queen Wilhelmina, her godfather was Prince Bernhard.
Elisabeth grew up in a noble environment in a Zeeland that was affected by the horrors of war. She experienced the flood disaster of 1953. Her mother survived the Dachau concentration camp, but was broken. In an attempt to keep their family together, they moved to Australia. That decision turned out to be the beginning of the dramatic end of a great family.
Those Who Come After Us are the memoirs of a remarkable woman.
