Description:
The poetic world of Norbert De Beule in 'Vigor Anorexia' is full, adventurous, intellectual, and at the same time flat (because what does this poetry have to do with underpants?). Jazz, the Middle Ages, comments and likes on Facebook, fellow poets, prophets, portraits, and self-portraits. At one moment he mirrors himself on Marianne Moore, but just as easily he brings up a sardine or a green Volkswagen.
All voices have one thing in common: they don't use their words for nothing. And they all speak with the voice of Norbert De Beule, virtuoso, versatile and musical - and then rather free jazz than a neat composition. De Beule is one of the most special poets from our language area.
His earlier work was nominated for the C. Buddingh' Prize and the Herman de Coninck Prize.
