Description:
'Fish Have No Feet' by Jon Kalman Stefánsson is about Ari, who grew up in Keflavik, a town in Iceland's darkest region. After publishing two books of poetry and a novel, and breaking up with his family, he moves to Denmark. Two years later, he returns to the rugged landscape in the southeast of Iceland for his dying father. This is the starting point of a story that spans the entire twentieth century: from the love story of Ari's grandparents to Ari's arrival at Keflavik airport. In his characteristic poetic and philosophical style, Stefánsson strings together beautiful human stories in 'Fish Have No Feet', full of love, loss, violence and against the backdrop of a sea full of fish that are not allowed to be fished.
