Description:
Elien, a documentary maker, is forced to look back once more on some important events in her life. As a young girl, she followed a vocational training at a ballet academy, which has left deep scars. Now she decides to invite a number of former classmates to her home for a weekend to make a film about their shared past. While she records their stories, another story surfaces: that of Abel, an introverted boy who, although a great career as a dancer awaits him, does not succeed in becoming happy. In the meantime, Elien is confronted with her own memories and discovers the parallels between her own life and that of her fellow sufferers.
A novel about vulnerability and growing up, the boundaries between love and abuse, the desire and inability to connect with others, and the different ways in which you can deal with old scars.
