Description:
Far from Home by Charles Martin is a beautiful novel about a lost son and the healing power of music.
At eighteen, singer-songwriter Cooper O'Connor leaves his father's house for good, on his way to a glittering music career. Or so he expects. But soon he loses everything. After five difficult years, he falls in love with Daley Cross and her beautiful voice. Their friendship grows, but before he can confess his love, he is accused of a crime, shot and left behind in a burning house. Miraculously, he survives, but his voice is damaged forever: he will never sing again.
He returns to the mountains of Colorado. There he hopes to find answers to his questions. There is no longer any chance of forgiveness and reconciliation with his father, but he decides to use his gift to help others, hoping that one day there will be liberation.
