Description:
This book is the result of a radical process of educational development in higher vocational education. Characteristic of this process is that all components of this development, described in detail in this book, have actually been put into practice. The starting points were the national training profiles, the HBO standard and the concepts of "competence orientation" and "learning to learn". Central to the educational development is the increasing ability of the student to learn in a self-determining and self-directed manner. To this end, the personal professional development line has been developed, which results in the personal development plan.
From task to competence describes how the role of the teacher changes parallel to the increase in the student's self-determining and self-directing capacity. The teacher becomes a developer and learning process supervisor. The didactics has been shaped in so-called "didactic concepts", such as task-driven, problem-oriented, practice-driven and project-driven learning. Unique is that different didactic concepts follow each other in the curriculum.

This book distinguishes itself by its mixture of didactic principles. It discusses the process and conditions necessary to design, develop, implement, evaluate and adjust the outlined extensive curriculum.
