Health insurers have been jointly responsible for the quality of care since the introduction of the Health Insurance Act in 2006. For this reason, Zilveren Kruis started the Quality of Care programme in 2011 with the aim of working together with the field on shared insight into the outcomes of care. The Quality of Care programme with more than 20 projects has made great strides in developing and implementing quality indicators. Professionals have experienced that they can concretely improve their care process with the help of outcome indicators. Better ways have been found to support the insured patient with advice and action. This book contains many fine examples of this.
