Description:
The Story of My Face is a psychological, literary thriller about Nathalie, a young girl who grows up as an outsider. She often visits a family that belongs to a strange religious sect. The mother treats Nathalie like the daughter she never had and the family takes her to a holiday gathering of their sect. There she is introduced to the principles of Envalism, an external movement within Protestantism originating from Finland that forbids the depiction of the human face. During this gathering, her rejection causes a rift in the sect that will have terrible consequences for her and those around her.
