Description:
After a failed coup (July 10, 1971) against the Moroccan king Hassan II, 58 lower-ranking military personnel end up in prison. What nobody knows is that after two years they are transferred to a secret prison camp somewhere in the desert. Locked up in solitary confinement in small dark underground cells, they are sentenced to a slow death.
The prisoners, however, do not give up easily. In the darkness they try to lighten their cruel existence by telling each other stories. One of them, Salim, is one of the few survivors after eighteen years. He has stayed alive by banishing all feelings of hatred and revenge from his mind.
