Description:
Linda Wallander and her father Kurt become angry when Linda urges her father to take the disappearance of her childhood friend Anna seriously. Kurt has other things on his mind: there is a sadist who sets animals on fire, and an old woman has been murdered in a way that resembles a religious ritual. Linda decides to investigate herself, risking her own life.
Henning Mankell: 'Nowadays, nine out of ten people think of Islam when they hear the word "fundamentalism". I don't want to defend terrorists, but in For the Prince I point out that Christian fundamentalism and terrorism also exist.'
The press about Before the Prince:
'Mankell in top form. When he feels like it, and that is certainly the case in Voor de vorst, no one can match him.' - De Morgen
'Enough incentives for a long-running sequel in the Wallander series.' - Trouw
