Description:
Libby is a wayward outsider. She yearns for love, but antagonizes everyone around her.
Libby is a somewhat lonely girl, an observer. But one day a classmate seeks contact with her. Suzan involves her in one of the groups of friends in the class. This opens Libby's door to another world. One in which not everything revolves around a father who composes music in silence at home. And above all: a world in which there is talking, shouting, playing, kissing.
For the first time, Libby becomes aware of her rather strange home situation. This causes her to look even more sharply at the people around her. She sees so much that she even starts to believe that she is clairvoyant.
This creates hilarious situations in which Libby puts teachers in their place in an unforgettable way. And she also dares to rub the truth in her parents' faces. But her life doesn't get any easier. When her only friend Suzan turns away from her, she runs away from home. Straight into the arms of her neighbor Thijs.
Thijs has his own band, and has already driven Libby's father, the sensitive composer, to despair. Libby actually likes him. And what is more important: together with him she can unravel the knots in her life.
Through her inner strength and her imagination, Libby is able to weather the storm of adolescence. She has broken something open. She has grown. And she has become dear to the reader.
