Description:
An unthinkable nightmare: innocent in prison.
This is the true story of Joseph Oubelkas who, in late 2004, on the 24th
year old, embarked on a business trip to Morocco and was sentenced to ten years in prison without evidence or investigation for something he did not do.
Despite the errors in the verdict and the conclusion of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs that there was no evidence pointing to Joseph, the years of unjust imprisonment begin for him.
During the hard and unjust life in the various prisons, Joseph nevertheless builds a number of special friendships and is unconditionally supported by thousands of letters and cards from friends, acquaintances and strangers, but most importantly: the 400 letters from his mother.
'My child, you leave behind a trail of courage, joy of life, innocence and goodness…'
