First edition 2002

The language jokes sometimes remind one of Van Kooten at his best, the scenes of a Jiskefet avant la lettre. You would wish that VPRO television would broadcast the three episodes of Het moordenaar Onvermogen made in 1993 again.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary in December of the Haarlem theatre group Het Volk, Het Volk, the male inability in 8 plays was published.

This special edition (not previously included in our catalogue) has been selected as one of the Best Designed Books of 2001.

The book contains the complete texts of the eight plays that Het Volk wrote themselves (Blauwdruk, Kaaljakkers, Het Laatste Kievitsei, Nooit Meer Dansen, Golden Fiction, Het Volk in Dothan, Gebakken Meeuw and Een Zomerjurk Vol Verdriet) and is preceded by an extensive review by Ko van Leeuwen in which the many adaptations and/or own productions of existing plays as well as their collaborations with, among others, Adrian Brine of the Shakespeare Company, Gerardjan Rijnders of the Publiekstheater and De Gebroeders Flint are also commemorated.
