Description:
Rare people, they exist. Or should we say, existed? In 1972, photographer Toon Michiels met two people on their farm in Best. Sjo Pol and Marinus de Bresser led an existence there so authentic that the artist found what he was looking for. With great care, respect and love, Michiels photographed the couple in their daily activities, in a way that is reminiscent of the drawings Vincent van Gogh made of the workers in Nuenen.
