Description:
Five axes is the third part in the successful series of very short stories by AL Snijders, 'the master of the one-haired brush' (Tommy Wieringa). Over 300 zkv's (2007-2008) are united with drawings by Snijders' friend, the visual artist Rinus van den Bosch.
The first edition will be published in a limited, extra deluxe edition of 600 signed, numbered and ribbon-bookmarked copies.
The second printing will appear in a regular hardcover edition.
'The path is constantly inert, yet nothing remains undone.'
AL Snijders sometimes quotes these words from the Tao.
An enthusiast who can hardly wait for Snijders' Five Axes to be released: 'I thoroughly enjoy the luxury, the light and the warmth before the axe falls. The imagery is absurd, but so is the insanity of many of Snijders' stories. It remains clapping with one hand, to keep it with the Tao.'
