Description:
The year of our Lord is 1699. Luigi Derigo is the easy-going owner of a few salt pans on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Unfortunately, he catches his nephew cheating. The nephew's henchmen beat him to death and throw him among the rotting corpses in the crypt of an abandoned cathedral. Although badly disfigured, Derigo is not dead. He survives with the help of the local witch and slowly regains his strength. But the easy-going Luigi no longer exists; the new hideous Luigi, Saltface, first kills for revenge but gradually comes to enjoy killing.
