Description:
The Holy Triangle is a special area in Oosterhout. It owes its name to three adjacent monumental monastery complexes, surrounded by large monastery gardens and lands. The 1st Biennial Art in the Holy Triangle is organized here, which connects contemporary art with the spiritual and artistic heritage of the Holy Triangle. The theme of the 1st Biennale is 'love' and numerous artists - painters, sculptors, photographers, designers - who have religion or spirituality as a common thread in their work, have been asked by curator Guus van den Hout to contribute, often in the form of new work. The book that is being published on the occasion of the Biennale is a sample of contemporary art, driven by religion and spirituality. For that reason it is not only interesting for the visitor, but for everyone who is interested in contemporary art that seeks depth.
