Description:
Things start to move. Gunshots ring out. Someone gets cancer. We stand there and watch, 'understanding changed camps once more'. Nature has a will of its own. The body rebels, because the soul needs sister: a coronary artery that drives life and energy through our bodies. Life and energy, love, 'noble blood / wind / trees / noise / a house // it all stopped being self-evident // because sister threw herself beyond her limits'. With surprising imagery and interwoven verses, the poet orchestrates what normally only succeeds in music: the feeling that everything comes together in that one hesitant moment, here and now, 'a great powerful everything in a minuscule thing of nothing'.
